Understanding true personality strengths and weaknesses is vital for your career, business, and personal life success. It can save you an enormous amount of time and money if you get it right, yet misinterpreting personality can ruin you.
Myers-Briggs
Although I believe psychological self-tests such as Myers-Briggs (http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2010/02/effectiveness-of-myers-briggs-personality-assessment-questioned/) can help determine social inclination, or even be a somewhat useful part of a pre-employment evaluation program, for example, everybody knows you’re on your best behavior while taking self-tests.
It’s impossible to acquire an adequately defined view of abilities and potential personality problem areas exclusively from self-tests, even if they are “psychologist approved.” The self-tests can be gamed.
Enneagram
The Enneagram personality typing system is another popular method, relying on only nine categories, including “The Reformer,” “The Helper,” “The Achiever,” “The Individualist,” “The Investigator,” “the Loyalist,” “The Enthusiast,” “The Challenger,” and “The Peacemaker.
Essentially, in using such a method, you’re observing a person’s behavior for a period of time, sometimes a very brief period of time, and selecting one of the nine categories, or perhaps more than one.
Let’s see, this person appears (never mind that it could very well be her business persona, and not her real personality) to be rational, people-pleasing, driven and success-oriented, responsible and engaging, versatile and spontaneous, and willful and self-confident.
The above listed traits are specifically from six of the nine Enneagram categories, so that makes her a “Reformer—Helper—Achiever—Loyalist—Enthusiast—Challenger.”
Wait a minute, someone identified her the next day as a “Peacemaker” (agreeable, receptive, reassuring), because “She is so nice; we clicked so well!”
Well, why not just place her and everyone else in all nine categories?
Are you starting to see a problem with this sort of assessment?
Considering some of the negative personality traits from seven of the nine categories, the following are created: the “perfectionistic Reformer,” “possessive Helper,” “self-absorbed and temperamental Individualist,” “secretive and isolated Investigator,” “anxious and suspicious Loyalist,” “scattered Enthusiast,” and “confrontational Challenger.”
Unfortunately, it’s entirely possible someone might possess none of those negative personality traits, or alternatively, even several from multiple categories.
Regrettably, you’re only going to be scratching the surface of authentic personality if you lack an objective system of analysis. In other words, without set standards of interpretation that disallow partiality, guessing at someone’s “type” won’t give you accurate results, and you certainly can’t rely entirely on fill-in-the blank and multiple choice self-tests to delineate true personality.
Instead of oversimplified assessment methods that can’t identify distinct individual strengths and challenges, you need a more comprehensive (and objective) method such as handwriting analysis that can accurately delineate specific personality red flags and talents.
Included below are five common personality analysis mistakes:
- Making the erroneous assumption that the complex human personality can be crammed into only one or a few personality types. Expecting consistently accurate character and compatibility analyses with subjective personality typing systems is like expecting to become an overnight millionaire through Internet marketing (less than 5% of all Internet marketers succeed, and far fewer have become millionaires).
- Attempting to identify your “blind spots” or strengths through subjective analysis such as with a personality typing system—you need someone outside yourself and a more objective system.
- Making the false assumption you can simply look for “cues,” “particular language,” or “specific behaviors” in other people to type them and assess their character accurately (unless you have them under a microscope for hours, including high-stress situations, and you’re a trained psychologist, it’s impossible for the average person to do this, even with “Internet guru advice”).
- Erroneously (and astonishingly mindlessly) believing you can predict another person’s future behavior while under pressure exclusively with subjective and self-test personality typing systems.
- Mistakenly thinking you can discern subconscious motivations and compatibility from mere subjective and self-test personality typing systems.
I strongly recommend the use of a range of evaluations, including handwriting analysis, in conjunction with other psychological testing methods to determine authentic personality and, or if a person’s abilities match the demands of the job.
Handwriting analysis, in conjunction with comprehensive astrology and numerology, is invaluable to reduce your risk because it can’t be manipulated and absolutely assesses actual personality–subconscious character—well beyond the persona when an individual is at their best, such as when they know they are being scrutinized.

The job interview is one of the most important parts of the hiring process, along with background checks, confirming employment history and credentials, and evaluating skills related to the job.
George Bradt, a forbes.com contributor, succinctly captures the core essence of the job interview in 3 key questions:
- Can you do the job (abilities)?
- Will you love the job (motivation)?
- Can we tolerate working with you (are you a fit for the company and its current employees)?
http://www.forbes.com/sites/georgebradt/2011/04/27/top-executive-recruiters-agree-there-are-only-three-key-job-interview-questions/
The above-linked article is from the perspective of a hiring manager or business owner who wants to hire the best candidate possible for the job and minimize turnover.
Considering that about 40% of corporate executives leave their respective organizations in less than 18 months, existing hiring practices aren’t very efficient.
Not only do bad hires damage the company’s profit margin, but being placed in an inappropriate job also hurts a person’s career.
The problem with relying heavily on the interview process is that many applicants excel at interviewing; they’re rapid-fire thinkers who will look you in the eye and tell you exactly what you want to hear in a convincing way, even if they aren’t sincere. Essentially, just like personality self-tests, the interview process can be manipulated, and you won’t even know it until after the person is hired.
I recommend the following to avoid the above-mentioned pitfall:
- Conduct multiple interviews with several supervisors.
- Evaluate the candidate’s skills related to the job through multiple assessment methods, including handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology.
- In the case of having the luxury of several good candidates from which to choose, identify the least risky candidate through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology. This involves looking for compatibility red flags between the potential new hire and existing staff, and also identifying personality red flags (e.g., involving people skills) that might clash with the company’s culture.
Additionally, it’s wise to confirm the potential employee’s true motivations to determine if they are likely to love the job or not: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/11/handwriting-analysis-and-motivations-what-really-motivates-you/. For example, no matter what they say in the interview, if they thrive in a team environment, they won’t be happy working independently.
Under stress on the job, after the hiring process and while superiors aren’t watching, a person’s authentic personality emerges.
There exist many personality traits and red flag concerns that aren’t easy to measure by only talking to an applicant, reviewing their resume, and through standard personality evaluations.
Having an accurate read of character through handwriting analysis, and comprehensive astrology and numerology, you’ll greatly reduce your risk, and save enormous amounts of time and money in hiring situations.

Everyone has his or her own unique strengths and weaknesses, and there will always be people who are a serious threat to your security.
The way to discern which individuals will benefit you greatly and which are fated to be a challenge is to get to know them well. As the saying goes, people don’t change, you just get to know them better.
Here are five ways to get to know someone’s personality:
- Time. The longer you spend getting to know someone, the better you’ll know him or her. However, time is a luxury and there could be great risks allocating a long period of time for someone only to find out that they are a hazard to your livelihood and life in general.
- Stress. Under pressure a person drops their persona, and the real character is revealed; a person who appears to be a great leader, for example, turns out to be a domineering dictator under stress. The problem here is that many people are very good at maintaining the façade until it’s too late. You might spend months or even years being under the illusion that a person is good for you until you find out the scary truth.
- Sex. Intimacy is a sure way to know someone very well. However, since most people don’t have sex with their staff or coworkers, or those with whom they do business, sex is only useful for getting to know someone’s character in select situations. Even in your personal life, it may be too late by the time you’re intimate with the person you thought was exceptional.
- Security investigations are a very good way to get to know someone, but you must be willing to pay at least $2000 and commonly $7500 and up for good intelligence on an individual. The other issue with this option is that the person can appear to be completely “clean,” with no tarnished image, record or criminal history, but could simply be a genius at avoiding detection.
- Handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology can help you make enormous headway in effectively outlining a person’s authentic character. All you need is the person’s birth data and a reasonable sample of his or her script (e.g., a brief handwritten letter).
Uncovering perilous risks through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology is extremely cost effective and gives you a substantial edge in goal attainment.

Prudent risk-taking in business and your personal life is a major component of success.
Taking a chance is far less risky if you’re well informed. Below I list five examples of how you can identify, through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology, whether an opportunity is right for you or if it’s likely to be problematic.
- You’re tempted to accept an offer involving a business partnership, but you don’t know the person very well. Is he reliable and what are his true motivations?
- You formulate what you believe is a fantastic business plan and you’re considering a specific launch date. The approximate time you thought of the original idea, when you plan to launch, and your collective timing speaks volumes about its success. Will this be a great success, a learning experience, or even a disaster?
- You’ve met what you believe to be the romantic interest of your dreams. The approximate time and date you met, the compatibility discerned between you, along with your overall timing will tell the truth of the matter: great reward, terrible connection cloaked in illusion, or somewhere in the middle?
- A valuable employee is up for a promotion, but are the new responsibilities you have in mind for them appropriate? Failure could really harm this person’s career, not to mention the company.
- Confidentiality is extremely important to you. You’re considering three different new associates and they all have appropriate abilities and backgrounds. Which one of them can be trusted the most? Are there any major professional compatibility red flags between you and any of the three candidates?
Exposing unsafe risks through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology gives you a huge advantage, increasing your peace of mind and level of success.

Question:
My question relates to something I have read about eons ago but cannot seem to find now. Is a scenario based question on the 12 signs and how they would interact with each other at, for instance, a dinner party? Something like that. Sometimes I feel like when I read anything to do with personality typing all fire signs sound the same, as do the water, earth and air. Your reply is very appreciated! Thank you.
Answer:
The almost universal viewpoint mistaking Sun sign astrology for authentic astrology is due to blatant distortion of the esoteric science for more than a century. 99% of what you find on the Internet regarding astrology is misinformation. Complex ancient methodologies are shoddily modified (rendering them useless) on popular sites in get-rich marketing schemes, and politically correct New Age agendas warp ancient astrological truths. It’s understandable that your exposure to astrology is limited to trivialities.
The fire signs include Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Astrologically, fire is masculine, like air. Water and earth are feminine.
However, surely nobody really believes that everyone with fire Sun signs (24.9%+- of the population) has identical, or even noticeably similar, personalities.
Likewise, every person with a Libra Sun sign, for instance, won’t have the same personality strengths and weaknesses.
Being forced to assign a few qualities or just a paragraph to each sign isn’t really fair. Besides, people aren’t merely Sun signs just like they aren’t merely hands or noses; they have hundreds of other factors in their comprehensive charts. Authentic astrology involves pattern recognition involving those hundreds of indicators.
But to appease the demand for a surface approach (and humor), here is my take on each sign in a social setting, highlighting some of the more notorious attributes:
Aries: bull in a china shop; will shamelessly hit on you; doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
Taurus: will gravitate to the buffet and is desperately hoping to satiate her other, more intimate sensual needs later on in the evening.
Gemini: can talk to anyone and juggle many interests at once, including romantic.
Cancer: attends the party wanting to find a serious, long-term relationship; wonders how people enjoy being single; depressed.
Leo: can be the life of the party, won’t turn down a nightcap, and loves to talk, especially about herself.
Virgo: makes sure to dress appropriately and fastidiously, and expertly critiques the attire and behavior of everyone at the party.
Libra: loves to socialize, just don’t bring up anything too controversial or conflict oriented because he will leave the party.
Scorpio: secretive, yet deep and intriguing; expect kinky sex.
Sagittarius: socially driven, yet freedom oriented; don’t try to tie her down.
Capricorn: interested in business connections at the party; not the most socially inclined person; several people consider telling him to lighten up.
Aquarius: unusually open-minded; more socially motivated than average and more likely to accept an invitation to a threesome.
Pisces: heart of gold; escapist; enjoys his alcohol; and readily accepts an invitation to attend a drumming circle tomorrow.
Seriously, do any of the above samples definitively, consistently characterize all people who possess the respective Sun signs? Of course they don’t—not even close.
What they may do, however, is somewhat typify a person with a very significant amount of one specific sign (i.e., several heavenly bodies in one sign, especially potent ones relative to his or her natal charts) in his or her comprehensive charts. But those cases are rare, and many of those people don’t even have natal Sun in the related sign.
Personality analysis based exclusively on Sun signs, or just a handful of considerations, is impossible due to the fact that Sun sign astrology is a very superficial construct.

Results of empirical observation involving handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology over a span of more than two decades indicate to me that mishaps and other challenges in life aren’t random.
The root of a problem, such as an accident, is in the past, whether that past is in this life or a previous one.
Through personal fate, negative self-subconscious programming (e.g., a person regularly exclaiming how “unlucky,” “clumsy,” or “broke” they are), or other ways such as a self-castigation complex, people sometimes unknowingly do themselves in.
It’s unfortunate, and regularly just a matter of unavoidable, immutable personal fate, but you do have the option to limit your exposure to risk, accidents, and life’s disasters.
3 ways to safeguard yourself from mishaps are listed below:
- Watch your thinking. Do you ever find yourself in a semi-daydream state imagining a calamity such as a car wreck or sports accident, or even just a minor physical ailment? Whenever you find yourself going down that mental path, reverse the image and envision yourself as safe and sound and avoiding danger; doing so leaves a positive imprint on your subconscious mind, reducing your risk. Another, more obvious way to limit life’s hazards is to strive to be centered. Meditation helps with this.
- Pay attention to the character of those in your life who you don’t yet know very well. Concerned about misfortune in conjunction with a potential business partner, for example? You should be, as you can’t control his or her behavior, but you can prepare yourself and limit your risk by identifying red flags through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology.
- Although it may sound excessively esoteric, it’s wise to learn about your unique personal fate through comprehensive astrology and numerology because it can absolutely prepare you to make the most of your life and handle life’s challenges more effectively, limiting the disadvantages. Finances, love life, family, career, and more—all significant areas of life include unique opportunities and risks and the more you know yourself as related to predestined karma and unalterable personal adversity, the better off you’ll be.
While you can’t avoid circumstances and events that are beyond your control, you can greatly reduce your risk by following the above advice.

Question:
Is it possible to predict or identify the sexual orientation of a person using Astrology? By seeing a horoscope of a person and not the actual person, can you correctly tell that whether person is gay or straight? I know that many reputed astrologers have honestly agreed that its not possible to predict or identify the sexual orientation of a person using Astrology, I am interested.
Answer:
My findings show that it’s not easy at all to discern sexual orientation through astrology alone.
Also, please note that the “horoscope” you speak of is typically a one page, basic natal chart. It’s important to realize that comprehensive astrology involves multiple charts, far more than just the basic chart.
I’ve found that comprehensive numerology does allow for a better understanding of a person’s sexual orientation. On many, many occasions after reviewing a person’s comprehensive charts it’s occurred to me, for example, “This person is more toward the bi or gay side of the sexual orientation spectrum,” and that has turned out to be true.
However, it’s not my or any other professional’s business to go nosing around in someone’s charts for such information if they didn’t specifically ask about the issue.
In my opinion, comprehensive numerology (my charting systems) displays sexual orientation to some extent, certainly more clearly than astrology, but it’s more often than not challenging to accurately assess if a person is gay or straight. Although in extreme cases, it can be quite plainly visible in the comprehensive charts. Extremes are always easier to identify in relation to any life circumstance or event.
Handwriting analysis can’t assess sexual orientation 100% accurately either, but combining it with comprehensive astrology and numerology can offer surprising insight regarding sexuality.

In response to this blog post, http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/12/2012-end-times-movement-5-red-flags-to-watch-for/, I received the following feedback:
“I must ask about #3…since when is social justice anti-American? I had always thought that this Democracy was to be a great experiment in assuring “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for all, not just the 1%…”
“And it appears to me that the European Socialist governments are doing quite well in assuring the well-being of their citizens. Why is Socialism considered the work of the Devil? Thanks, Anne”
My Answer:
Thanks for your feedback, Anne.
Although I acknowledge that writing about politics might turn off many readers, I believe it’s important to continue the conversation on these issues because I too believe in “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness…” for all, and those freedoms are intimately connected with spirituality (e.g., personal fate and free will).
Also, allow me to say that it’s a very attractive proposition: a utopian world where everyone’s needs are taken care of, the government “assuring (all citizens’) well-being…,” and there is no suffering or personal adversity. The problem is that it’s impossible, just as it’s impossible to never have a challenging day or any strife whatsoever in any of your personal relationships.
Equal Rights For Everyone, Not Government Theft of Private Property
While I’m of the opinion that everyone should have equal rights, it’s not society’s or government’s role to divvy up success in equal parts to everyone. You can’t replicate personal destiny, but you can have an equal playing field where everyone is free to seek the opportunities they desire. Please see this article for more information: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2010/04/measuring-success-you-must-look-beyond-mere-personal-qualities/
The Term Social Injustice is a Misnomer
Thomas Sowell writes eloquently about the topic of “social justice” in this article:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2010/09/14/the_money_of_fools_107138.html
“All kinds of chance encounters– with particular people, information or circumstances– have marked turning points in many individual’s lives, whether toward fulfillment or ruin. None of these things is equal or can be made equal. If this is an injustice, it is not a ‘social’ injustice because it is beyond the power of society.”
Free Market Capitalism, Not Crony Capitalism and Corruption
Considering that I interpret what you are saying correctly, I agree that corporate corruption and specifically financial industry zero-skin-in-the-game, reckless profiteering must be adequately addressed. While we’re at it, let’s also eliminate asinine, Marxist federal mandates that, for example, force financial institutions to make housing loans to those who can’t afford them in the name of “equality.”
The truth is that the vast majority of U.S. corporations conduct business within legal bounds, and more burdensome regulations will only make things worse. It’s inefficient and unaccountable government, along with favoritism, that is the problem. Crony capitalism, not capitalism, is what needs to be eliminated.
The U.S. Constitution Matters
The United States of America’s founding fathers mandated in the U.S. Constitution that personal success can’t be confiscated by the government, even though Congress has been legislating just that for decades. According to the Congressional Budget Office, IRS data clearly show that the most wealthy 1% in America paid just about 40% of all federal income taxes in 2009. It was only 18% in 1980.
The Top 1% Doesn’t Owe You Anything
Let’s be fair about the top 1% of wealthy Americans: most of them are honorable and far from being criminals. They don’t owe you or me anything. It’s much better that the rich get to keep their legally and ethically earned money so they can put it to good use instead of surrendering it to the ineffectual, wasteful, government.
Billionaires don’t wage war on the rest of us, politicians do, with misleading, worn out, class-warfare-forwarding agenda catch phrases like “tax cuts for the wealthy” and “social justice.” And why do they do that? Because it gets them votes–the uninformed, the envious and, or those with an unreasonable sense of entitlement eat it up, hook, line, and sinker.
Instead of demonizing multi-millionaires and billionaires, let’s praise them. They donate great sums of money to worthy charitable causes, and they generate job creation through investment. Government does not create private sector jobs or prosperity, as any honest, unbiased economist will tell you.
There Has Never Been a Socialist or Communist Country With Enduring Prosperity
Let’s also consider that countries that have embraced socialism, or worse, communism, for generations (e.g., Cuba, North Korea, etc.) are infinitely poorer than the U.S.
As for European socialist economies doing “quite well,” surely you aren’t speaking of countries like Greece and Spain. Socialist policies have all but destroyed those and several other European economies.
Or, perhaps you are referring to Scandinavian “socialist” countries, which are really far less “socialist” than most people believe, as this author outlines:
“The Myth of Scandinavian Socialism:”
http://mises.org/Community/forums/t/5616.aspx
“Scandinavian nations are not nearly as socialist as leftists claim they are. Although the United States ranks higher than these nations on the Index of Economic Freedom, Scandinavian nations are more free in several decisive areas. Denmark has greater business freedom, monetary freedom, investment freedom, financial freedom, freedom from corruption, and labor freedom while having comparable property rights and trade freedom scores to the U.S. Sweden has greater business freedom and freedom from corruption, while having comparable trade freedom, monetary freedom, property rights enforcement, investment freedom, and financial freedom to the United States. Finland has greater business freedom, monetary freedom, and freedom from corruption than the United States, while having comparable property right enforcement, financial freedom, and trade freedom. Norway, the least successful Scandinavian nation, has greater freedom from corruption than the United States while having comparable business freedom, trade freedom, and property right enforcement. Iceland has greater business freedom, fiscal freedom, and freedom from corruption, while having comparable trade freedom and property right enforcement. In many ways, Scandinavian countries are more “laissez faire” than the United States.”
Capitalism is Spiritual—it Offers the Most Freedom of Any System
The problem with big government is that you can’t violate absurd, oppressive laws (such as raw dairy products prohibition) and regulations without legal problems or the threat of imprisonment.
Free market enterprise, however, allows you to simply avoid a company if you don’t like its business practices. It also supports healthy competition, forces down prices, and cultivates more and more attractive offerings.
America owes its success to free market capitalism. Capitalism is spiritual relative to other economic systems, considering it allows for the most personal freedom.
I believe it’s important to support policies that limit government, and allow for complete personal freedom, as long as those freedoms don’t infringe on others’ rights.
“What kind of society isn’t structured on greed? The problem of social organization is how to set up an arrangement under which greed will do the least harm; capitalism is that kind of a system” Milton Friedman

Much has been said about 2012 being a monumental year of cosmic proportions.
Universal shifts of various magnitudes have been occurring since the beginning of time. More on universal shifts is included in the first 5 paragraphs of this blog post: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/04/numerology-and-11-11-11-nothing-exceptional-about-the-date/
Nothing extraordinary happened on 11-11-2011, and 2012 won’t include any “dramatic universal spiritual shifts” either. Please see information about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar here: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2010/03/2012-and-the-mayan-calendar-7-myths/
2012 will, however, include more talk of “end times,” “the shift,” and other hype.
These 5 red flags, sample excerpts (or similar enough) of the 2012 hysteria movement, display the mythological nature (and creepily socialistic underpinnings) of it all:
- “Powerful, extraordinary astrological occurrences take place in 2012 and they will bring us all closer together as one.”
(false on both counts)
- “Your cosmic awareness is now expanding in over-drive and you are destined to join the movement to help it come about.”
(false, and false)
- “The time has come for social justice.”
(a purely politically correct, misleading, anti-American, socialist, wealth-distribution political agenda—such mandates are often a driving force behind movements like “shift 2012,” ensnaring the naïve and aggrieved)
- “The time has come for economic justice for the victims of man-made global warming.”
(another economically destructive, socialist wealth-distribution scheme)
- “The global shift is speeding up, we must abandon unsustainable methods and heal the people and the planet, and everyone on Earth must assist with this breakthrough in playing your unique role to make the shift successful so that we can manifest our cosmic destinies.”
(poetic prose drones on, and then they expect you to buy an expensive e-course and, or seminar)
You manifest your fate by following your heart and working toward your aspirations, not by lining the pockets of the 2012 hype crowd, or worse, helping to advance destructive political agendas.
By all means, feel free to step into an exciting future, but just make sure to avoid wasting time on “2012 shift” or other propaganda.

The greater the number of unknown factors in your business dealings and personal life, the higher your risk.
You can’t control the behavior of a potential business partner, associate, romantic partner, or an adversary, but you can get to know them well enough to greatly minimize your risk.
Sometimes you’re able to spot red flags before it’s too late, but invariably, well-hidden personality flaws cause substantial loss of time and money.
Successful risk reduction involving personality analysis and forecasting personal trends is about constantly utilizing veiled information, such as buried subconscious personality characteristics or unexpected future time cycle trends.
Everyone has his or her own unique personality strong points and challenges. While it’s true that traditional security investigations can unearth a great deal of useful information about anyone, much can remain concealed, particularly if the person is adept at covering his or her tracks.
